Fifteen seconds left in the 4th Quarter, Mississinewa leads 28-0, Five…Four…Three…Two…One…Beep!… Mississinewa Indians won 28-0 and pushed their record up to 8-1, and put the Blackford Bruins record down to 6-3. The Blackford Bruins will start & host their sectional round against the Northwestern Tigers. The Bruins had fought really hard throughout the year against the team we had faced before the very last game, although we had lost our last game we are predicted to beat the Northwestern Tigers in the first round of sectionals.

Due to the rain and near freezing temperatures, the fans who ventured over to Gas City were treated to a great effort an exciting game at last nights game. The Blackford Bruins could not take advantage, however, as they could only reach the 22-yard line in the allotted four plays. As we are on the Indians side we could not finish the drive and score.

The Indians out-gained the Bruins 283 to 176 in total yardage, however, the Indians did it on 29 less plays from scrimmage. The Bruins and Indians each recorded 12 first downs on the night. We had several times where we could have stopped the Indians and more than several times to score.

With the heartbreaking defeat from the Indians the Bruins fall to 6-3 on the depressed rainy game. The Bruins finished third in the CIC behind Ole Miss and Eastbrook with a 5-2 conference record. Here’s are some individual stats from the Bruins & Indians football game. Isaac Justice: 19 carries for 85 yards, Melvin Hernandez: 8 carries for 32 yards, Jacob Deavers: 8 carries for 21 yards, Shane Elam: 8 carries for 19 yards, Scott Winger: 2 carries for 13 yards. Also here are some individual defensive stats.       The Bruins succeed but not full succeed in the end result, I personally think they could possibly win their sectional. As long as the fight hard, and also try hard at practice and keep pushing themselves over their limits. Isaac Justice leads the Bruins in rushing yards, with the amount of 778-yds. Following right behind him with a total of 611 rushing yards is Jacob Deavers. Another stat for our defensive squad, our leading tackler is isaac with 52 solo tackles, and added 27 assists tackles.
