The Lady Bruins drop to the Yorktown Tigers on opening night. In the beginning, they successfully pushed the ball down the field but couldn’t finish. Lady Bruins held the Tigers in the first half of a score of 2-0 Tigers lead. After speaking with Senior Josselyn Shick and Freshman Jenna Payne, they both agreed that the second half, they all had bad attitudes and had lost their motivation.

After speaking with Jenna Payne she commented, “At the beginning of the game the Lady Bruin Layla Pennington scored a goal, but officials called offsides. During the second half we started to give up and lose communication.”

Also speaking with Varsity soccer player Josselyn Shick, She replied “ With me and senior Hailey Morris sitting out with injury our team lost two main parts of the defensive side. The underclassmen did a good job of stepping up and push the ball down the field.”

The lady Bruins soccer will host the Oak Hill Eagles @5:00  Wednesday, August 22nd.
